EclipseBond Privacy Policy

EclipseBond is a private relationship app operated by Venus Digital LLC ("Venus Digital," "we," "us," or "our"). EclipseBond is designed for two people in an accepted couple connection to communicate and share relationship experiences privately.

We use information to provide, maintain, secure, and improve EclipseBond; authenticate accounts; connect partners; deliver messages and notifications; store and display shared content; provide distance, timezone, calendar, game, streak, crystal, and relationship features; process Premium purchases; prevent abuse and troubleshoot technical problems; and respond to support or privacy requests.

3. Private Couple Data

EclipseBond is designed around a private two-person relationship. Your messages, memories, photos, relationship activity, games, calendar information, tasks, prompts, and similar content are intended to be accessible only to you and your accepted partner, subject to the permissions and settings of the feature. We do not operate a public feed, public user directory, or random matching system.

4. Location Sharing

Location Sharing is enabled by default for new users as part of EclipseBond's setup flow. However, EclipseBond only receives location updates after you grant the required iOS location permission. If permission is not granted, or if you turn Location Sharing off in EclipseBond Settings, location updates are not collected for this feature. When Location Sharing is enabled and authorized, EclipseBond may receive location updates, including while the app is in the background when the applicable iOS permission allows it. Location is used to calculate partner distance/proximity and local-time information.

When Location Sharing is enabled and authorized, location information may be sent to a geocoding service to determine approximate city information. EclipseBond does not use location information for advertising or cross-app tracking.

5. Today’s Orbit and OpenAI

Today’s Orbit can generate personalized activity recommendations using limited relationship activity history. Because this feature uses a third-party AI service, EclipseBond asks for explicit permission before using AI personalization.

When AI personalization is enabled, limited activity information such as activity usage counts and how long it has been since an activity was last used may be shared with OpenAI to generate a recommendation. EclipseBond does not send chat messages, photos, voice notes, or prompt answers to OpenAI for Today’s Orbit. AI personalization can be turned off in Settings.

For the AI feature, both members of the couple must have enabled AI personalization before the AI-generated recommendation path is used.

We use service providers to operate EclipseBond. Depending on the feature, information may be processed by:

7. Notifications

Push notifications are used to alert you about activity in EclipseBond. Notification content is designed to avoid exposing private message text, task titles, calendar event titles, memory titles, or other relationship content on the device lock screen.

8. Photos and Files

Photos and voice recordings are stored using access-controlled cloud storage. Shared photos are protected so they can be accessed by the appropriate members of the couple rather than being publicly exposed. Uploaded photos are processed to remove embedded photo metadata such as EXIF/XMP/IPTC information before storage.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect your information, including authenticated access controls, row-level access restrictions, private file storage for sensitive uploads, short-lived signed URLs for private photos, and server-side account deletion controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

10. Data Retention

We generally retain your information while your EclipseBond account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we initiate deletion of the account and associated information under our control, including applicable stored files. Some information may be retained when required by law, for legitimate security or fraud-prevention purposes, to resolve disputes, or as part of temporary backups that are deleted according to our normal backup lifecycle.

11. Your Choices and Rights

You can manage certain privacy settings inside EclipseBond, including Location Sharing, notification preferences, read receipts, typing indicators, and Today’s Orbit AI personalization. You can also request deletion of your account from Settings. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information. Contact us using the information below for privacy requests.

12. Children

EclipseBond is not directed to children. You must meet the minimum age requirement applicable to your use of the service and the App Store.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, data practices, or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date when we make changes. Your continued use of EclipseBond after an updated policy becomes effective means the updated policy applies to your use of the service.
